Manifest Destiny (short dark comedy)

Co-written with Michelle L. Morgan (Canada). A fitness center employee is determined to win a contest for most improved client so she can fund a trip to Brazil for cosmetic surgery. Then HE walks in—seemingly a perfect candidate for the contest. But he's more focused on finding a tradwife. Only one can prevail and it's no rom-com. As of July 3, 2026, the script was scheduled for a reading at the Waco Indie Film Festival and had won best reading at the Austin Revolution festival. With 11 recognitions so far, it has a 65% recognition rate. It also won at Austin International Film Festival (Screen ATX) and is among the Top Official Selections for short scripts competing at the Richmond IFF (Virginia).
