David R. Schleicher entered his first script in a film festival in November 2024 and by August 15, 2026 had 11 scripts in competition. He has earned over 100 festival recognitions, of which 20 were award wins, and one of those the Harlem International Film Festival.
He finds joy in working with great talents like co-writers Mike in Los Angeles, Lucía in Spain, Michelle in Canada, Bradyn in Waco, Kristofer in Fort Worth, and Alyssa in Waco. Short dark comedies are a favorite, given that life so often is one. His other job is as a full-time attorney representing businesses and nonprofits, along with government employees against the government. One nonprofit client is a film festival.
